Corporate Social Responsibility: A DSV Commitment

DSV is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and firmly believes that as a global organisation there are three main areas that help us achieve our goal of ensuring that we leave the planet a better place for future generations.

Our efforts are focused on these specific areas:

  1. People - community involvement through our Delivering Better Lives charitable organisation
  2. Planet - environmental action through our UTi thinkgreen initiatives
  3. Strategy - growth through CLIENTasONE delivering value to our shareholders

The merger of these three activities forms the basis for DSV's Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Corporate Social Investment

DSV has always exercised its social responsibility in a manner that promotes education of the disadvantaged, through social projects connected to the fight against HIV and AIDS or through promotion of industry-specific projects leading to the development of scarce or critical skills and social infrastructure.

DSV's community engagement is worldwide via the DSV Charitable Foundation. The mission of the foundation is "Delivering Better Lives". In our community engagement, DSV chooses projects that primarily relate to children with a focus on education and related infrastructure and wellness challenges; as well as community projects through meaningful DSV team project based involvement that has tangible, and sustainable results through participation satisfying the "Touch, See and Feel' criteria.

DBL has its origins in UTi Worldwide, with all of the founders being existing or former UTi executives, who all held a view that their global networks and business skills placed them in an ideal position to identify, execute and manage community projects, delivering long term sustainable value.
